The
provisional Rotary Club of Kapiti was sponsored by the
Paraparaumu club and conducted its first meeting at the “Hot Pot
Tearooms”, Paraparaumu Beach on 27 May 1977.
As of 26 August 1977, the Rotary Club of Kapiti
received it’s official notification from
Rotary
International that the club had been accepted as a member.
In its founding year there were 24 chartered members.
These days, the
Rotary Club of Kapiti has approximately 64
chartered members ranging in both age (mid 20’s – mid 80’s) and
classifications.
