Welcome to Kapiti Summerfest, the biggest party to hit the Kapiti Coast this century! In 2007 The Rotary Club of Kapiti decided that it was about time that we celebrated the wonderful range of amenities, services and lifestyle (Kapiti Fare) that we enjoy on the Coast by welcoming everyone from far and wide to join is in a local community Festival that showcases the people and industry of Kapiti and the wider region. In 2008 we went into action and established the Kapiti Summerfest and in 2009 it’s going to be even bigger and even better!

This Festival is an awesome Family Day Out which is to be held on Sunday 15 February 2009. It incorporates our regular and ever popular annual McDonalds Run for Fun, which has benefited our local schools for many years and continues to encourage youngsters to get out and do something physical in a competitive environment. The entertainment is a non stop 8 hour roller coaster of great acts ranging from leading bands from the Wellington and wider music scene through to children’s entertainers and local talent all introduced throughout by Austin Powers bringing his own unique brand of fun risqué humour and great party enthusiasm. The International Food Hall (Food & Wine), will provide a wide range of treats to tempt and will feature some of our local leading chefs as well as catering for food suited to the more junior palates.

There will be a range of funfair activities suitable for a wide range of ages, together with market stalls, offering a wide selection of crafts and produce.
